Entomophagy: The case for eating bugs

I am fascinated by the suggestion that eating insects is actually an enviromentally-friendly option and maybe even necessary in our future. I found two more videos about insects being raised for food. Enjoy.

I recommend you turn on the subtitles in English to help you follow the video.

In the first video, an entomologist who produces insects as a business to supply restaurants in Australia shows us the production process and introduces us to some chefs who serve her insects in their restaurants.

In this video they present three reasons why we should eat insects: it's less expensive, it's healthier, and it is more sustainable than consuming meat.

This chart shows a comparison of the quantity of protein produced by the same amount of feed and a nutritional comparison of insects to meat. Are you convinced yet?
