Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is one of the best late night programs on American television. Jimmy Fallon began his acting career on Saturday Night Live and he was later invited to take the role of host on The Late Night Show. The Roots, a rap group originally from Philadelphia, became the house band and together they have some pretty creative musical performances.
Before the opening of Star Wars Episode 6 The Force Awakens, they prepared this a cappella version of the Star Wars main theme with the cast of the film. Awesome!
Late Night has also done many other creative musical performances. Below are a few of my favorites.
Recently the cast of The Avengers Infinity War performed a parody of the opening song to an American TV show from the 1969-1974 called The Brady Bunch (click here to see the original).
On the occasion of the Super Bowl in 2015 Jimmy and the Roots joined Carrie Underwood, Sam Smith, Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, Usher, Meghan Trainor, One Direction and Christina Aguilera for an a cappella version of We Are The Champions.
Another reoccurring segment on the show is the Wheel of Musical Impressions. Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, and Jamie Foxx have also participated, but in this video we see Adam Levine the lead singer of Maroon 5 doing some pretty great musical impressions.
