Captain Marvel : an exciting addition to the Marvel cinematic universe

On March 8 2019 Captain Marvel will open in cinemas. It will be the first film in the Marvel Universe dedicated to a female main character.

Black Panther surprised the studios with its worldwide success (click here to see the trailer). The film with a mostly black cast earned $700 million in the United States and Canada, becoming the third film ever to do so. The worldwide box office total was $1.346 billion. It became the second-highest-earning film of 2018 behind Avengers: Infinity War, the third-highest-earning film ever in the United States, the ninth-highest-earning film of all time, and the highest-grossing film by a black director. It also became the highest-earning film in the territories of East, West, and southern Africa.

Now the excitement is about Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the drama Room in 2015. In 2017, she starred as a photojournalist in the adventure film Kong: Skull Island, which became her highest-earning film.

See the trailer and decide for yourself, but this looks interesting to me.

Keep an eye out for updates on the Black Widow film that is currently listed as in "pre-production".
