How fire burns in zero gravity

Life on Earth can be pretty predicable, but things work differently in zero gravity. Watch this video to learn about how fire burns in the absence of gravity. The host is at times a little too enthusiastic, but the science is fascinating.

This is a clip from the 2013 film Gravity mentioned in the video and this is the scene where a fire is ignited on the International Space Station.

Veritasium makes lots of science and engineering videos (click here for their Youtube channel). In this video they take a ride in a zero gravity plane and show their own experiment with fire.

Visit the Space.com to see a video and read about the experiments done on the ISS.
