The Making of The Greatest Showman

How does an actor prepare for a musical performance in a film like The Greatest Showman? Here are two "behind the scenes"  videos that show the actors and the chorus in their initial rehearsals.

In the first video Hugh Jackman and the director Michael Gracey talk about a problem that happened on the day that they were first going to perform all of the songs as an ensemble. Apparently Jackman wasn't going to be able to sing because he was recovering from surgery. In the end, he couldn't resist and joined in for a passionate performance.

Keala Settle plays the bearded lady that works for P. T. Barnum. In my opinion, her song This is me is the best song in the soundtrack. Her initial performance is worth watching. Below you can see the video for the final soundtrack performance.

If you haven't seen the film, I recommend it. Click here to watch the trailer.
